Australia / New Zealand, in Pictures

The botanical gardens of Sydney have trees brimming with flying foxes.

 Barbed wire gazebo.

If you focus on the top left part of the bridge, you'll notice some folks scaling it!

A postmodern sailboat.

 Pity the proles.

A strangler-fig cathedral tree.

 Crickey!

 Can you spot the terror?

 "Cathedral Cove"
Sea kayaking over rough chop = nausea and beautiful drama

Zorbing. The sphere was filled with warm water before they pushed me down the hill. You enter it via a running start and jumping into a giant uterus. I mean, umbilical cord. I mean, tunnel.

 Reborn.

Nothing artificial.  Just volcanic turmoil and mineral deposits.

 Lord of the Rings country.

 Wellington.

A Seals.

 My. God.
Wine tasting. Christine is looking into the camera.
 God's swimming pool.

 STEAMPUNK museum!!!

The whole gang. 1/3 German, 1/15th hippie, feisty as all hell.
Penguins. They roost in hills at night, then waddle down to the beaches to feed by day. Murderous seals are waiting to intercept them. There are stand offs.  The waddle / flurble of the penguin / seal chase is hilarious and harrowing.  No good photos were produced  = (
Maori say these stones are the testicles of terrible seadragons which the warriors bravely sliced off, driving the serpents into the sea.

 Fall after fall after fall.

I, too, thought these paths only belonged to fairy tales.

You simply have to let the land speak for itself. If it doesn't subsume your vision, it's robbed of half its power. Buy a bigger screen!

 Queenstown.  Unreal.

A Chinese "Garden of Friendship" in Sydney. Australia's swell intentions towards
China are desperately ostentatious.
